What is skin Exfoliation?
The definition of skin Exfoliation is the removal of surface dry skin cells.

Why do I need to Exfoliate?
I like to refer Exfoliation as one of the most important parts of a Skincare Regime. Not only can it resolve skin problems, give you a radiant glow and most importantly let your skincare products work effectively by removing a dry sticky glue-like layer of skin cells and in return allowing a smooth fresh surface of skin to appear.

Where do I Exfoliate?
The beauty of Exfoliation is that you can exfoliate just about all over your body except sensitive areas, especially close to the eye area. After Exfoliation your Moisturizers will penetrate readily into the skin, your feet will feel soft and smooth and it’s a must before applying self-tanners if you want an even application.

When do I Exfoliate?
When I refer to Exfoliation in this article I need to inform you on the two Types of Exfoliation.

#1 “Physical” or even “Manual” which means that you have to do the work. This can be achieved through the use of sponges, washcloths, facial brushes and facial scrubs. Try Strawberry Skin Polish for all types of skin or for normal to Oily Refresh Cleanser. These products can be gentle enough everyday depending on your skin sensitivity.

#2 “Chemical” You may have heard of this form through Peels, AHA’s, BHA’s and via “Acids” Examples; Glycolic, Lactic and Salicylic. We offer this form in our Acne Treatment Kit. By using this system properly and by following the correct directions of use, you will see amazing results for mild acne sufferers. I only recommend this system for Acne only. Please note: For occasional breakouts Clear Repair spot treatment is great for applying to blemishes for overnight success. This product is sold alone.

In closing: There are many benefits to Exfoliation, to achieve a smoother appearance in the skin, clear congested pores that can cause breakouts, hyperpigmentation (brown spots); Anti- Aging keeps skin fresh and new and especially when make-up is applied because it’s not laying on dry surface skin cells that would otherwise accentuate fine lines.

Tip: When you gently use a dab of Strawberry Skin Polish on your lips and rinse clean with water, your lips with appear softer, smoother and ready to be kissed!
